Daily schedule for the children

Example of a daily schedule for the children

It is important for the children that the day has a set structure, so that they can orient themselves.

7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.

All of the children are greeted and taken into their groups, free play together in the group

9.00 a.m. to 9.15 a.m.

The children have breakfast together and clean up the table afterward. Then the children in diapers get a fresh diaper.

9:15 a.m. to 9:45 a.m.

The morning discussion and game circle for all of the children in their groups. Here the children share what is on their minds, what happened on the weekend and are prepared for the activities that follow. It is especially important for the younger children to spend time with their teachers, because they trust them and entrust themselves to them. Before the activities begin the children have a fruit snack.

10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.

The children participate in the activities offered by the teachers, or have free play. The activities take place either inside or outside, or excursions take place or we go shopping with the children.

10:45  a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Free play for all of the children on the outdoor play area.

11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.

Lunch for all of the children. Afterwards we change the smallest children’s diapers and prepare them for their nap. The older children have a rest or participate in quiet free play.

12.15 p.m. to 13:00 p.m.
The nap children are awoken and we all have a snack together. The first group of children are picked up.

3:00 p.m. to 4:45 p.m.
Teaching activities for the whole kindergarten inside and outside.

4:45 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
All the rest of the children are picked up.
